And if he does leave, it\u2019s always love. He might take me with him, you never know,\u201d\u00a0Parsons said with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>After watching Parsons produce a career-high 14 sacks, emerging as a Defensive Player of The Year finalist and Second-Team All-Pro selection, it\u2019s easy to see why Dotson would jump at the opportunity to try to lure the 24-year-old to D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Parsons and Dotson, of course, were teammates at Penn State, so it isn\u2019t too surprising to see some playful banter between division rivals.<\/p>\n<p>However, Parsons is one of the most vitally important players to the trajectory of the Cowboys\u2019 franchise. Already with two First-Team All-Pro selections under his belt along with a reputation as one of the most dominant and disruptive pass-rushers in the NFL, it would seem highly unlikely that Dallas would trade Parsons. Especially to an NFC East rival.<\/p>\n<h2>Micah Parsons Vents on Cowboys Playoff Ouster<\/h2>\n<p>After winning the NFC East Division championship, and securing the No. 2 seed in the conference, the Cowboys season didn\u2019t end the day Dallas had hoped.<\/p>\n<p>Cowboys owner\u00a0Jerry Jones called it the \u2018most surprising\u2019 defeat of his tenure, shortly after the dust settled on the Packers\u2019 48-32 demolition in the NFC Wild Card Game.<\/p>\n<p>After nearly three weeks, Parsons broke his silence on the most recent playoff loss of his career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s that you lose the way you do and at home,\u201d\u00a0Parsons said, via CBSSports.com. \u201cWe had talked about how much [better] we had played at home, how much it stood for us to be at home and then to go like that at home was\u00a0<span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">completely embarrassing and unacceptable<\/span>. I couldn\u2019t even look at that loss or feel any type of way because of how embarrassed I felt It took me a while to even show my face in public. I disappeared completely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parsons finished with just one tackle in the Cowboys\u2019 defensive collapse against the Packers that ended Dallas\u2019 2023 season.<\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-recommendation-reel\" class=\"trc_related_container trc_spotlight_widget\">\n<div id=\"tbl_1706810995846\" class=\" trc_related_container trc_spotlight_widget trc_elastic trc_elastic_video-reel-sc \" data-placement-name=\"Video Reel Mid Article\">\n<div id=\"taboola-vrl-wrap\" class=\"tbl-loaded\">\n<div id=\"taboola-vrl-internal\">\n<h2 id=\"taboola-video-reel-title\">Jerry Jones Hoped to Keep Dan Quinn<\/h2>\n<p>One year removed from Quinn interviewing for multiple head coaching opportunities only to return to Dallas, Jones and the Cowboys have their own vacancy to fill at defensive coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>But, if Jones had his way, Quinn would have stayed with the Cowboys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know right today,\u201d\u00a0Jones told reporters at the Senior Bowl on January 31. \u201cWould like to have him back, but the point is, let\u2019s just see where that goes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s an outstanding coach. We have benefitted from Dan, and we\u2019ll see where it goes.
